We may be getting that Veronica Mars movie, after all. Last month, show creator Rob Thomas said he was mulling over script ideas for a big screen version of the Kristen Bell series, but that he was too committed to his new series, Cupid, to really work on it.
But now Thomas tells iFMagazine that because the order for Cupid episodes has been cut from 13 to 8 by ABC, "That means I have time to write the Veronica Mars movie."
Thomas cautions, however, that writing a script doesn't mean the movie will be in theaters anytime soon. "Someone else has to pay for it," he says, adding, "Joel Silver does have a certain pile of money. Kristen wants to do it. Joel wants to do it and I want to do it. For me, that’s the next project."
